Every Wednesday from 6:30-8:30p.m. facilitated by Upasika Eleanor, Ph.D.
Everyone is welcome to join. This is a free offering.
We begin with chanting (optional), a guided 45 minute meditation, followed by a short break, and discussion on our weekly dhamma reading. We end with a short guided compassion practice.
Our new dhamma reading is The Four Foundations of Mindfulness by Bhante Gunaratana. Please see the attached pdf copy.
This is a direct, insightful and inspiring exploration of the Buddha’s teachings on mindfulness of body, feeling, mental states and phenomena.
We will discuss and practice with these.
This core teaching is found in Theravada Buddhist scripture, the Pali canon found here:
“Satipatthana Sutta: The Foundations of Mindfulness” (MN 10), translated from the Pali by Nyanasatta Thera.
